Understanding bird vocalisation under the impact of urbanisation

Behavioural ecologists are concerned about the impact of anthropogenic noises on animals. Our idea begins with the primary issue of how human-made or urban sound impacts the bird communication patterns. Our research focus addresses a behavioural model that explains how urban incursion in the forest environment impacts the local bird population, as measured by the vocalisation patterns of the birds. It is a fact that the collective vocalisation of birds might be regarded as a behavioural indicator of migration from highly urbanised to moderately urbanised regions. The collective bird calling pattern and its ecogeographic context is of importance to understand the exponential increase of anthropogenic activities in our world.
